Campaign pushes for special needs children to be featured in advertising

Advertising has come a long way to include more minority groups, but at least one group is still almost never seen – people with disabilities.

Some companies are looking to change that. In 2012, Target featured a boy with Down Syndrome in an advertising campaign. This year, the Changing Face of Beauty campaign is pushing the social media hashtag #15in2015 to get retailers to show more disabled kids in their ads.
